Vegetable nuggets with gado gado, peanut sauce and crackers

  • 1 package &samhoud Vegetable nuggets (available at Plus & Picnic)
  • 300g pandan rice
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 ml of milk
  • 5 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce manis
  • 1 tsp Sambal Oelek
  • 250g green beans
  • 1 pointed cabbage
  • 1 cucumber
  • 125g bean sprouts 
  • 1 bag of crackers
  • 2 tbsp seroendeng

  1. Prepare the rice and Vegetable nuggets as described on the package.
  2. Boil the eggs for 7 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the peanut sauce: heat the milk, soy sauce manis and Sambal Oelek in a saucepan. The sauce will be thin at the beginning, this is normal, the sause will thicken due to the heat. If the sauce eventually becomes too thick, you can add an extra spoon of milk.
  4. Remove the end of the green beans and cut in half. Then cut the pointed cabbage into strips. 
  5. Put the green beans and the pointed cabbage in boiling water until they are al dente. 
  6. Cut the cucumber into strips.  
  7. Make the plate: scoop the rice in the middle, put the vegetables arount and then put the Vegetable nuggets on the vegetables. 
  8. Serve the dish with peanut sauce, crackers and seroendeng.
